This hike is in the Los Padres National Forest, and begins at the Red Rock area of the Santa Ynez Recreation area in Santa Barbara County. To get here, take Hwy. 154, then Paradise Road all the way to it’s end.  I took the most of the photos here in late December, 2006. The mine dates back to the 1860’s, and was completely abandoned in 1992.
