My riding buddy Tommy on his Honda Goldwing and me on my BMW R1200GS decided to join some of the ADVenture Riders on the first “Fall Colors Ride” in the Sierras.

We left on a Tuesday morning from Santa Maria and rode to Death Valley for a couple of days, then over the Sierras to the West side to Calaveras Big Trees park, where we would meet the other riders for some yarn-spinnin’, fire-sittin’, eatin’ and drinkin’ and campin’.

It turned out to be kind of cold and rainy, but we managed to have a great ride anyhow!
