White Mountain Research Station Adventure August 1-4, 2008

A motorcycle riding compadre Dana Fahey and I rode to the Crowley Lake area of the Eastern Sierras to participate in an outing with our Adventure Rider club. About 100 folks from all around the state showed up.  The main focus is to ride up to the White Mountain Research Station near Bishop. The lab is at 12,500 ft and is only open to the public one day per year. I also wanted to climb to the summit of White Mountain, an 11-mile hike beginning at the lab.

Well that’s that. Another great adventure in the books. We got home safely tired and dirty Monday night, but none the worse for wear. That beer we picked up at Indian Wells Brewery came in handy though! We had a great trip, and hope you enjoy the photos.
