Temps are climbing again, approaching 100 degrees in the afternoons. Evening temps are still cooling off to the 60's though. The Plain received only about 4" of rain this year, so everything is tinder-dry out there.
I rode the Soda Lake road in June and portions had new gravel and/or grading, while other sections remain heavily washboarded.
I have updated the weather, fauna and geology pages.
I also have a new bike with which to explore the monument. The old green KLR 650 is gone and a new 2005 BMW R1200GS has taken it's place. So if you see this beauty around, it just might be me!
