Update: May 14 2006

Weather was warm and breezy today. It was 83° as I rode over the summit of Elkhorn Grade Road. Most of the wildflowers are gone now, and the Carrizo is turning brown. Elkhorn Grade was it's typical washboardy, rutty self. Not much action on the Carrizo in the way of people. It's already time to be concerned about taking enough drinking water out this way though. Even though the temps weren't high today, I found the breezy conditions taking the moisture right out of me.
